Druids Glen Golf Course

Although is it laid out entirely on flat land, Royal Dublin is as formidable a links as you are likely to encounter. The Island – a classic links course is set in naturally rugged terrain and demands respect for the testing quality of it’s holes. Portmarnock offers two courses and twenty minutes south of the city is Druids Glen. The European Club – home to the 2006 Ryder Cup awaits your skill and a little further south and east are Mount Juliet and Faithlegg – two not to be missed courses.


Royal Dublin
The Royal Dublin Golf Club. located on Bull Island, home to The Royal Dublin Golf Club, is a protected wildlife habitat with a fabulous range of flora and fauna. Despite this, it is only three miles from Dublin city centre. This ensures visitors have the opportunity of high-class links golf and the benefits of entertainment in a major European capital.

Originally designed by the renowned architect, Harry Colt, 2006 has a redesign of the 6th, 7th and 8th holes, over three winters Mr. Haw tree has adjusted the architecture of every hole. His team has raised all of the greens, adding beautiful contouring. The course in its new and challenging form has been open for play since May 1st 2006.

The Island Golf Club
The Island Golf Club is one of Ireland's Premier Links Courses. A mere 15 minutes from Dublin Airport. This links course is located across the estuary from the quaint village of Malachite, just North of Portmarnock.

This beautiful links course, in splendid isolation, is surrounded by the Irish Sea, Donabate Beach and Broadmeadow Estuary. Nestling between the highest sand dunes of any links course in Ireland, its rugged beauty cannot fail to impress.  Once seen - Never forgotten...!!

Druids Glen 
Two great championship courses just 20 miles south of Dublin city. 

Druids Glen is often referred to as "The Augusta of Europe". The flora and fauna of the Glen provide a colorful backdrop to a magnificent golf course. The forests and streams produce a haven for wildlife in what was once a home to the Druids.

The European Club
The links offers a rare variety of golf challenges and awesome scenery as the holes plunge into deep valleys in the sand dunes, run on a sand spit through age old marshlands and along and up into the rugged cliff of Mizen Head.  The Irish Sea can be seen from every hole on the links.

The K Club
A world class major championship designed golf course by Arnold Palmer (home to the 2006 Ryder Cup), featuring eleven man made lakes, large sand bunkers and large mounds on both sides of the fairways.  The River Liffey runs alongside four holes with the 7th green on the far side of the river.  The course is dotted with a large quantity of 300 year old trees.
